Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

This fully waterproof version uses a waterproof membrane and faux fur lining to keep your feet dry and warm all season long!

FULL RUBBER OUTSOLE WITH ZIG-ZAG SIPING

The rugged, full rubber outsole incorporates deep lugs for enhanced traction on various surfaces. The built in zig-zag grooves (siping) provide additional biting edges to cut into ice/snow and helps ground your feet in slippery situations.

A bit stiff but comfortable
The boots fit wonderfully once I get my feet inside them. It is difficult to get my feet inside. I have to pull really hard on the loop on the back of the boot. Thank you for including those! I wonder if they could be changed somehow to make it easier to actually put them on. ?
But all in all I am very glad I bought them!

Wonderful!
I love these!! They fit perfectly! There’s no insulation on the toes which is helpful for wearing them with any type of sock for insulation needs, and as usual they are super spacious (without feeling like you have duck feet) so you can easily fit toe warmers in if need be. They’re great! I can tell I’ll need to polish them from time to time just as I would with any other leather but worth mentioning if someone is expecting to not have to.

Amazing Comfort!
I have the barefoot Chelsea, and had been eyeballing these since they came out. My feet stay cold, and living in the mountains and in a temperate rain forest, I was super excited to see a more substantial sole with better tread and insulated lining. My only regret is not purchasing these sooner! I absolutely love them, and their fit is amazingly comfortable. I did have to go down a 1/2 a size from my other LEMS and my standard shoe size. Please make the black in a waterproof option, and I'll get it too!
