Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

I love them! They are super warm, cozy, comfy and I was able to get them on! I have high arches and have difficulty getting most boots on my feet. The pull on straps and the fact that the boots themselves are pliable, made it super easy to get these on my feet. They are very comfortable too. I had to get used to the wide look of the shoe, but that didnt take long at all.

They don’t have to be barefoot
I’m not really a party of the barefoot scene - I have a history of stress fractures in both arches, and can’t stand shoes without arch support. However, I really wanted a good winter boot, and I love the Chelsea style. But most Chelsea styles have a really narrow toe box, so I decided to try these. I normally wear a 7 and I got an 8. I just took the sole inserts from my running shoes and put the in the boots and they’re PERFECT! I’m a little worried about the suede and hope long it will last, but I don’t care because the shoes are so great. The elastic on the sides was a bit abrasive at first because I mainly wear ankle socks, but they got broken in and don’t bother me at all anymore. If it turns out the suede doesn’t last very long, I will still be buying these again in the future as long as they’re still available!
