Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

The upper is made of durable materials that stand up to the abuses of trails, and also daily wear and tear.

MOUNTAIN-TO-TOWN OUTSOLE

Engineered with a new, low profile, rubber tread that combines the best of both worlds: ample traction on trails, AND excellent durability on pavement.

LOW HEEL DROP

With 4mm of drop, compared to the traditional 12mm of drop, the Trailhead naturally decreases heel-striking for a more natural gait and healthier posture.

FIRM CUSHIONING

When your foot is on too soft of cushion, you end up with pain and discomfort. We've formulated a firm EVA midsole that'll keep your feet happy all day long.

MY FEET DONT HURT
I waited a month or two before posting this because I have a few pairs of barefoot/minimal shoes from other brands that I also love, but I really needed a pair for work that could handle the tile or concrete or a super retail store, so I was searching for a pair that was the right natural shape but still provide support and cushion. I get that barefoot shoes are supposed to provide natural movement and feel, but I work on concrete all day, I need some support. These shoes have been life changing, they are so lightweight, so supportive, so comfortable, and they fit perfectly!! They can withstand daily work wear for 10 hours with ease, and I’m still able to keep going at the end of the day. I am not a sworn life time customer for LEMS.

Love them
Had to go up a whole size for these, they made the swap super easy though. My feet are pretty narrow so not the brands target but this style really works with my foot shape. I'm super pleased.

Great support, great grip
I wore these in the Rocky Mountains. I had no foot pain after a long day of hiking. The grip was perfect on the rocks. And most importantly my toes had plenty of room and no blisters! I would highly recommend!
