Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

The upper is made of durable materials that stand up to the abuses of trails, and also daily wear and tear.

With 4mm of drop, compared to the traditional 12mm of drop, the Trailhead naturally decreases heel-striking for a more natural gait and healthier posture.

love these shoes, but
It wouldn't have occurred to me to write a review, but I saw one mentioning the same problem that I have, which is weak stitching at the toe, on both shoes. I have had these for awhile now, not sure if it's been more or less than a year, but I am not hiking or running in these. Mostly just going to work and wearing them out socially. Seems like a vulnerability that should be addressed if it hasn't already. Would love to know if the new cosmic blue ones, which seem to be a little different, have more durable stitching.

Stylish, comfortable, rugged
I wear these to work (office) with jeans or outdoor-type pants. Fit is true to size, the shoe is more rugged than I anticipated since it is marketed as a minimalist shoe. The picture of the shoe being bent back on it's own last makes the shoe seem flimsy but it is not. Will likely buy more colors.
