Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Aight, I already had the Boulder Summits but when I saw this boot, I knew it had to be and it hasn't disappointed.
First off, the fit. My feet are wide, 4E wide and I have no issues with this boot. Longest hike i think was about 6 or 7 miles and very few hot spots. Maybe a bit on the achilles bit that was it.
Waterproof. All of the hiking has been in snow. From knee deep to slush and dry socks and feet at the end of each hike. The extra height has helped with snow entering the boot were as the boulder summit had a few issues. I haven't stood in running water long enough but no leakage through the zipper portion. This was my biggest worry when I bought these boot.
Style. Look at 'em. You know they look good.
The grip. As mentioned, all snowy hikes and I've had a lot of confidence in the grip. On ice, it was as slippery as most but I found some grip. It also didn't do that great on wet rocks but again, not too different from most boots.
Durability. These boots have not been worn or hiked in as much as the boulders but the boulders have taken a beating and are still very much in good shape. So, I'm assuming these will hold up.
The only thing I dislike is that the ankle is tighter and rubs my ankle bones more than the boulders. If I loosen the laces, they come off or it doesn't feel as secure. I can just tape my ankle bones for more protection.
I would certainly recommend these boots to everyone who has wider than normal feet or just looking for a stylish boot that allows…

Comfy and warm
Warm, dry, easy on and off, and fairly attractive. Much prefer these over wellies. Would recommend! True to size.

These boots are excellent! - OFI
The boots are comfortable to wear and provide good support. However, I did have a concern about the metal label indicating they are waterproof, as it came off one of the shoes. Ironically, without the waterproof tag, the boot is no longer waterproof. I suggest removing all metal studs from the exterior of the boots, except for the lace clips. Overall, they are great boots, but there is room for improvement.
