PRIMAL 2 VS. PRIMAL 3 OVERVIEW

Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Comfortable and stylish
Just wore my new primal pursuits on a three mile walk. I was a little hesitant to wear them before breaking them in, but I went for it and my feet feel great. Plenty of room in the toe box and no uncomfortable rubbing at the heel. Bonus: they’re super cute.

Very good with caveats
Well constructed and feels more supportive than other Lems shoes when walking on rough ground. The fit is a little off: size 10 too small, size 10 1/2 too big, but I went with the larger size anyway. These come with the thicker insole, which is great and I SO WISH was available to purchase separately, for my other Lems shoes.
The styling is kind of ugly, with brown suede, black mesh and white stripes, but I used black fabric paint to cover up the white stripes so that helped. The laces are slick, flop around and come undone, so I switched them out.
I chose these because other Lems shoes are getting too minimal for me. The feet of people like me, who are heavier and/or older and yet walk a lot, just need more cushioning.
Still better than most of the shoes out there, but please bring back the thicker insoles.

All day comfort, no break-in required!
I've been eyeing these for a while and I'm SO GLAD that they finally restocked in my size. I'm a 7.5 in most shoes, but sized up to an 8 in these as these don't have the widest toe box. I took out the insert, as I prefer a more "barefoot shoe" feel, and they fit PERFECTLY. These arrived just in time for me to lead a week-long camp with high schoolers in the mountains. These don't require any breaking in, I wore them all day every day while in the mountains and they were the perfect shoe for comfort, hybrid activities, and especially hiking! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
