Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Grippy, Flexible and Comfortable- Excellent!!
I was a little concerned that the grippy outsole might be a bit stiff, but they aren't at all. They are still super flexible and the grippiness is perfect! And they are even more comfortable than I hoped! I don't wear boots much, but these are like a nice leather hug for my feet and ankles. Will definitely be at the top of my rotation this winter. BTW-- they look great too.

Love ‘em
There are only a few brands of shoes that I trust to be able to wear all day and not bring on the pain. I don’t know what it is about the Lems, the wide foot for sure, but the footbed just works. I went up half size, these are perfect.

Boyfriend loved them!
My boyfriend has the hardest time finding decent shoes that don’t rub the top of his feet. He is loyal to his Keen’s. He desires function over fashion. I did extensive research on barefoot/wide toe box shoes and came across Lem’s. Wide toe box shoes typically aren’t the cutest, but these actually are ok! I ordered these for his birthday and anxiously awaited his review. He really likes them and had no issues! He loved the fact that he could remove the insoles and add his own. I will buy him another pair for Christmas.
