Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Very comfortable and Stylish
As an already Lems shoe buyer, I was waiting for the first reviews to pop up before pulling the trigger but couldn't be patient anymore. So I ordered two sizes 9 and 9.5 Waterproof version. Both felt very good on my feet. 9 was very snug and I realized I rather wear my winter socks with these so I went with 9.5.
Since there's no rain, I can't test the waterproofing but assuming the leather and liner are same with Boulder it should be all good for harsh weathers.
That being said, in this price range I am currently weighing my options more seriously from other brands (wide toebox but not barefoot necessarily) since I am into hiking and I don't find Chelsea boots as supportive for uneven terrain. The grip on these works amazing though.
I love these boots and I think for daily usage it is one of the most comfortable boots!
By the way don't worry if you see so much fur around your house on the first few tries! These shoes right out of the box shed a lot of fur but it stopped after I wore them with different socks. Now I have to use lint roller on my socks! Lol :))
