Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Real leather please
I have many different pairs of Lems. I love them all! My first were the original Mariners. I still have them!! Unfortunately, being my first Lems, I sized them a bit small. I can wear them without socks in summer, and I do! I have been waiting a long time for another pair of Lems for women but in slides that are also real leather (like the mariners- remember those beauties? ) in a nice dark brown color for the colder or wetter months when socks are needed. Look at the men’s shoes; Nine to fives and new drifter grips in coffee or maple for the color. (Please note all the smaller sizes of the new men’s drifter grip were sold out instantly. Im speculating that is because women probably bought those- showing we all are waiting for something like this. Women get the canvas and suede. Those are nice but harder to keep clean. Please Lems, some real leather for slides designed around the women’s foot. White leather for summer would be nice, too, while you are at it and since I’m asking. ☺️ Thank you, Lems, for considering this plea. I am only rating this a three cause there is no smooth leather option. Otherwise, I love my Lems!
