Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

The upper is made of durable materials that stand up to the abuses of trails, and also daily wear and tear.

Ran small - really cool looking
I ordered these size 12.5 in olive. They're really cool looking shoes. All of my shoes are 12.5 but these were too small so I exchanged them for 13 which were also too small! I also sent them back and ended up with the primal 3 size 12.5 which are now my favorite shoes.

Comfortable but runs a little small
Very comfortable and quick to take on and off. They do feel a little small and get warm fast.

LOVE! BUT...
These shoes are fantastic. They're super comfy and I often find myself choosing them over any other shoe due to the amazing comfort they offer.
I've been wearing these on/off since purchasing them in May of this year, not very hard to use, mostly a 2.5-mile commute via bicycle to work, and sitting at my desk and a few gym sessions, but nothing crazy.
Unfortunately, about a 1.2" or less tread on my left shoe by my big toe has begun to delaminate from the footbed (See photos). While this does not currently affect performance, it's a bit of a bummer to see on a shoe that's only seen minimal use.
Regardless of that, I still like these shoes and will continue to wear them and likely purchase more unless these truly take a turn for the worse.
