Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

WATERPROOF

Rain or sun, we’re ready. Not only can you skip along streams and keep your toes dry, you can up the ante on where your travel takes you this winter, thanks to your new favorite pair, complete with a gusseted tongue.

OILED LEATHER UPPER

We’ve utilized a 100% full-grain leather with an oiled finish, that is pre-treated to be water repellent. To increase the water-repellency and extend it over the life of the shoe, we suggest using a waterproofing wax such as Otter Wax and reapplying 2-3 times per year.

IBR OUTSOLE

Our injection blown rubber outsole is what makes Lems incredibly lightweight and flexible. Deemed as the perfect travel companion, this boot can pack down to the size of your favorite puff jacket.

ZERO-DROP

Places the forefoot and heel flat to the ground correcting posture, aligning your spine, and encouraging mid-foot strike.

Good but not perfect
I love the fit, love the wide toe, love the zero drop, love the water proof and the material and look. Only problem is after a few hrs my feet hurt pretty bad. I have Ultas for sneakers, they are zero drop and they changed my life. No back or foot pain no matter how long I wear them. I don’t know if my Lems need more padding or what. It’s just my honest assessment.

Not just fantastic for hiking and the rain (though definitely great for that). They also pair fantastically well with jeans and look stylish. Masculine. Tough. Extremely light. A++.

Comfortable
These are possibly the most comfortable shoes that I have ever worn. My toes love the freedom and my back feels better due to the zero drop. My only complaint is that the left boot won't stop squeaking. At first I thought it just needed breaking in, but after a couple of days it still squeaked, so I tried using conditioner but even after several weeks it still squeaks.
