Great boots until they come apart.
I've had these boots for almost a year now, I'd say they lasted a little less than 9 months before the stiching started to come apart all over the boot. Which is a bummer as I loved the boots otherwise, they just don't seem built well enough to be used as a work boot, more so leisure or hiking. Admittedly, im hard on boots, I'm only 5'9" 165lbs and typically go through them in about 1-2 years depending on quality. Danners I've found to last the longest around 2 years. These seem on par with most tactical/ hiking boots I've had that last about 9 months.A higher quality industrial strength thread would definitely be a huge improvement, as I had about 6-9 months of thread left on the soles. This might be the first time an upper came apart on me before the soles had blown out or wore through. It honestly just feels like Lems skimped on quality where the thread is concerned, especially at $200. By all means use better thread and pass the cost on to the consumer, we'd gladly pay it. I'd like to find a boot with this design but built to last, it's be great if Lems could provide that, if not they're not likely to have a returning customer if they're looking for a boot meant for work. I should also include I oiled these boots with Shoe Grease to maintain the leather quite a few times in the first 6-8months I wore these.

Quality Boots at a Matching Price
I haven't had the time to test the longevity of these yet, but these boots are solid from the first time putting them on. They were comfortable even before breaking them in and have plenty of room for a wider ball of foot. The only reason I put these at a four star instead of five is the price. They're nice boots, but they don't come cheap. If they last as long as I hope they will, the price will be well worth it. If they last only a couple years, I'll be a bit disappointed with how much I paid.

Just great boots!
These Boulder Summit Waterproof boots feel like amazing leather gloves on your feet. Each day I wear them they just get better and form more to my feet.
Dry as a bone inside and the supple tanned, well oiled leather perform great in wet cold weather!
These are my second pair of Lems boots- Outlanders were my first and I beat them up building roads deep in the forest daily - never got wet inside! Lems knows how to do it right!
