PRIMAL 2 VS. PRIMAL 3 OVERVIEW

Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

NATURAL SHAPE TOE BOX

We've re-designed the original Lems Last for a more active fit. This new sneaker features a natural-shaped toe box, paired with a slim heel fit.

RUGGED UPPER

The upper is made of durable materials that stand up to the abuses of trails, and also daily wear and tear.

LOW HEEL DROP

With 4mm of drop, compared to the traditional 12mm of drop, the Trailhead naturally decreases heel-striking for a more natural gait and healthier posture.

Comfortable and beautiful, but not so minimalist
They're very good looking and also feel like a quality shoe, but I'm not giving them the perfect 5/5 because they're not minimalist enough in my opinion.
They're definitely wider and roomier than your average shoes, but still not in the foot-shaped category. Also the soles are quite thick, but that may be your thing if you'd like a bit more protection from the ground.
With that said, they're very stylish and great shoes overall, I encourage you to try them if you're not too deep into minimalist shoe territory

My 3rd Pair
Title explains it. These are my favorite shoes I own. I also have the Mesas and the Primal Zens. They have a ton of support, plenty of cushion and are great for a hike or as a daily driver.
