Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform

Comfortable and Painful
I wear boots quite often for work and for hiking and have tried many different brands. So I decided to give these boots a try since I love my Lems sneakers.
My initial thoughts of these boots is that they were comfortable and a little narrower than my usual shoe size. One thing that really stood out was how soft the sole and insole are, which is very unusual for a “barefoot” type of boot. I love that feature. These boots are light and I COULD wear it all day, but the tongue’s interior folds are serious hot spots and dug into my ankles. I’ve tried tightening and loosening the laces to different tension levels, but it did not resolve this issue. My ankle hurt like heck after walking in them for 15 minutes. Another thing to note is that these boots are not that breathable, so expect to sweat a bit in them.
In addition, there are also some minor quality defects like over glueing and a frayed ends of thread, but those do not detract from how much potential these boots had to almost becoming my favorite pair of boots. I would only buy a 2nd pair in the future if the hot spots get addressed and if they breathe a bit better.

MAN! I love lems.
I really like these boots. I can't imagine someone is using them as hard as I am. I work in excavation and septic work so I'm always in dirt or in hole. I wish they offered a sewed in sole. Also I wish they offered a replaceable sole so I could go to my local cobbler to fix it. PLEASE lems offer a hard-core zero drop work boot... I'd be the first to buy it.
