Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

SLIP RESISTANT OUTSOLE

This shoe is equipped with a slip resistant, non-marking rubber outsole that utilizes zig-zag grooves and grippy textures to ensure your feet remain grounded in slippery situations.

Even better
I have 4 pairs of Lem’s Women’s Chillum shoes because it’s the only shoe I can wear beside my Altra walking shoes. I have to have a wide toe box and zero drop shoes. I have found the Chillum shoes don’t have quite enough cushioning, even though I add a Cur Rex insole, when I wear them for extensive city walking during travel. So I am delighted to find that the new Chillum Grip feels like it offers more protection from the walking surface.
Every time I wear Lem’s shoes I have to take them off and check them for tiny pieces of gravel stuck in the tread before I enter my home. Hopefully the new wider tread will not be the perfect size for picking up gravel.
Keep coming up with new ideas, Lem’s!

Comfortable shoe
Nice suede and Leather shoe. As comfortable as a sneaker. My feet are slightly wide and this shoe fit well. I sized up to a size 9 instead of my usual 8 1/2 which worked for me.
