Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Too Hot
I love the look, and they are super comfortable, but they are just too hot. Please lems make a version without the extra hot lining. I spent a couple of hours ripping it out and they are much better now. Before, I would wear them for work and hives would break out on my feet they would get so hot.

Too new to know
I've only had the boots now for about 2 weeks and worn them a few times. I like them, even though I think they are overpriced, but it's too early to know how they will hold up and if I'll like them with more wear. I do have a pair of Primal 2 I've had for a while that I like.

Incredible comfort - supports alignment of the entire body
Four years ago I ordered the Men's Waterproof Boulder Boot, and after wearing them every day for daily use and hiking the tread was almost totally worn off and there's a small bit of stitching on the upper that's started to come undone. I have usually worn shoes out in a year!
The shape of the boot allows for extensive use while supporting total body (ankle, knee and back) alignment. I suffered from lower back pain for years before I discovered that narrow shoes and a rise in the heel were causing the pain. I first switched to Birkenstocks, but some of their shoes, such as their clogs, did have a slight rise in the heel, which did cause some pain. Their excessive arch support also did not provide for natural strength building in my foot arch. Then Birkenstock made the unwise decision to change their footbed to a much more narrow fit. I absolutely could not get my foot into their shoes any longer so I went on the long search to find a replacement. After extensive research I found Lems and haven't looked elsewhere since! I've had no back pain since either! And I love the look too! They're even nicer looking than Alden 405s, and of course, those boots would kill my back. I've worn my old Boulder Boots in every situation including agate hunting at the beach. They've been drenched in salt water more times than I can count and amazingly have kept their water resistance. I never treated them once.
