Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Really Love the Primal 2
I have been a big fan of Primal 2's for multiple pairs. This pair is no exception. Excellent ground feel, cute, and a little more padding that helps walk on city sidewalks. I am sad the Primal 2's are discontinued.
I bought a pair of Primal 3's and they are way more sturdy with less ground feel. They are less bendy than the 2's. The Primal 3's are great for when I have occ foot pain and need a sturdier shoe.
Please keep making the Primal 2's, they are my favorite.

Women’s primal 2 black
Very pleased with these shoes! They are quite comfortable and very similar to the Zens. I use these when I am working my catering job, which is hours on my feet and they felt great by the end of the day. The cushion is just enough for my feet, and it’s the perfect in the middle barefoot shoe with the wide toe box.

Primal 2
I love the shoe -- it is super comfortable and light weight -- though I am not a fan of the round heel (too unstable) and I wish it didn't have arch support. In any case, I am sorry that this shoe is going to be discontinued, as the Primal 3 looks way too built up.
