The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.

Love these boots!
I love these boots! They are comfortable, waterproof, look nice and are great for my wide feet. I did have to size up a half size to get the right fit. Usually a women’s 9, ordered 9.5

Fantastic waterproof boot with caveats
I've had the grip waterproof Boulder boot for a few weeks now and I love it. It's quickly become my daily shoe this winter. It's truly waterproof, feels nice and comfy inside and, though not flexible enough to be considered barefoot, it's zero drop and not too thick.
They arrived quickly (thank you Lems), but at first, I found them way too stiff. Size is something to be careful with as well. I have a foot that's bigger than the other, so I sized correctly to that foot. I didn't go bigger to give more room because otherwise the other foot would feel like I'm a kid wearing my father's shoes. Still, it was very tight and I felt like the upper was sticking a knife into my ankle on the inside. I almost sent them back, but decided to try without the inserts. Wow. No more knife in my ankle. Snug but comfortable big foot and super comfortable smaller foot (more barefoot style room for the toes), even with winter socks. Amazing. The only complaint I have now is more of a suggested improvement that would make putting them on much easier and it's that the material that helps seal the water between the upper and the tongue would be better if it were more flexible, like neoprene or something. It would just be much easier as it's a bit stiff and I feel like I may end up ripping it.
In summary, after breaking them in and removing the inserts, I find them to be a highly recommended boot for all sorts of activities. They're beautiful looking, high quality, and well built. The waterproofing…
