Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

super comfy for my wide feet
I bought these last minute for a vacation trip that would involve lots of city walking. I had already bought another brand of shoes earlier, but one foot was too tight -- Lems delivered these quickly and as soon as I put them on; I knew they would do great. The box was plenty wide for my feet to be comfortable -- I averaged on most days during the 2 week trip +20K steps every day -- my feet felt fine in these shoes all day.
Bonus -- Didn't plan it but ended up hiking with them on muddy trails of PR8 São Lourenço in Madeira -- they got gunked up plenty with mud, but the soles height really helped.

Very comfortable shoes, a bit tighter than the primal 2. And you also need to go with 0.5 size larger.

Best Lems Shoe yet! Black size 12.5
It all started with the Primal 2. I loved the wide toe box and flexibility of the shoe, but not the trail ability. I then purchased the Primal Pursuit. More rugged, still light and flexible, but a little more narrow toe box. But then came the Primal Zen. The widest toe box Lens offers (like the Primal 2), but with the sturdier sole and heel like the Primal Pursuit. In my opinion the perfect urban street shoe or maybe light trail, but nothing beyond easy. I wear mine every day and walk 10k steps or more every day. I’d love to see a more rugged Primal Zen. Maybe a Primal Zen trail shoe. Same fit, just with the sole of the Primal Pursuit.
