Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

OILED LEATHER UPPER

We’ve utilized a 100% full-grain leather with an oiled finish, that is pre-treated to be water repellent. To increase the water-repellency and extend it over the life of the shoe, we suggest using a waterproofing wax such as Otter Wax and reapplying 2-3 times per year.

IBR OUTSOLE

Our injection blown rubber outsole is what makes Lems incredibly lightweight and flexible. Deemed as the perfect travel companion, this boot can pack down to the size of your favorite puff jacket.

ZERO-DROP

Places the forefoot and heel flat to the ground correcting posture, aligning your spine, and encouraging mid-foot strike.

Nice, but definitely not my favorite pair of Lems
When I bought my Chelsea boots last year, I died and went to heaven. I had never ever found a pair of boots so perfect in my life. I recommended them to everyone I know and even some random strangers on the street I noticed eyeing them.
These boulder boots are NOT like that. For one thing, the dont have nearly the flexible sole that the chelseas have. They are stiff and awkward. The soft flexible sole in the other boot gave me so much freedom in my step and in other movements in my body. It doesn’t feel like this one will ever get there.
Second a minor detail. The Chelsea came with a lovely bamboo insole that I assumed was standard for Lems. This one has a weird foam one my foot doesn’t like as much.
Third; these are just really stiff and hard to put on. I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they will break in, but the Chelsea boot didn’t require that kind of time to be comfy for me so I’m a little worried. I have had them a week and the jury is still out. Assuming they break in nicely , they are a nice fit and have the light weight and wide toe box I was hoping for. I really hope the sole loosens up too. I usually wear a 7, bought a 7.5 per instructions which was perfect.

Comfortable and look great
I haven't had these long enough to speak to durability, but I was immediately thrilled with how these looked. They look well put together and look more like traditional shoes than many wide toe box shoes I've seen. There is still plenty of space for my toes to fit comfortably though! I'm excited that I can have stylish boots without having to sacrifice comfort. I absolutely recommend going up at least a half size when buying these though.

Best all around boot
These boots are so comfortable. I thought I would have to break them in. I walked in them my first day for 8 hrs. and my feet were not even sore. Looking forward to having a pair of reliable boots!
