Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

On the fence about them
After reading other reviews, I ordered have a size larger than my usual size 6.5. My problem is not so much in the length/toe box area, as in the heel. My toes are shorter and the toe box is wide enough to accomodate my duck feet even with cork insole left in. (Without it, shoes are uncomfortable).
I wore around the house with no issues and decided to go for a short walk. 20 minutes in, I was in pain and a week later still have irritation on my heels. Since I have already worn them, returning is not an option and I cannot afford another pair. I will try to wear with bandages on my heels and hopefully that will work.
Also, the tread seems to collect any small stray stone or pebble in them, which is annoying because as the stones accumulate, you have to stop and pick them out because you can feel it.

These helped me walk after being treated with a Remy laser for plantar warts while they were healing ❤️‍🩹
The wide toe bed gave my feet room to relax and not hurt
That totally saved me so I didn’t have to be bedridden post treatment

Most Comfortable Shoes!
I was in NC in March and purchased my mother-in law a pair of Primal 3 shoes. She would not stop commenting on how comfortable the shoes are. I’m now visiting my 93 year old mother in Illinois. I bought a pair of the Primal Zen shoes for her. She has mentioned how comfortable the shoes are, and that she can even walk better with them on.
This is a great product and great company. I would suggest buying a couple of pair at a time. One pair in your typical size and the other pair one half size up. They seem to run small. The return policy and process is very simple. My credit card was refunded before I left the UPS store. 😍
I will be buying a pair of the Lagunas for myself when I get back home.
