My go to boot for work, play & travel
After having my son, my feet are wider and I did not fit into traditional shoes/hiking boots. I switched to barefoot style shoes this year and was excited to try Lems. I started with the Chelsea Boot and loved them for the style and fit. But I had a trip to Alaska coming up and needed a hiker that was waterproof and grippy. I ordered a pair of the Boulder Grip and they were very comfy out of the box, I worse them for 3 days straight braking them in before the trip. But one of the lace hooks broke! I immediately contacted Lems and Connor was super helpful - he determined it was a manufacture defect and got a new pair out to me asap with only a couple days to spare before I left for Alaska. I wore these boots the entire alaska trip - they were waterproof, comfortable and even looked cute with my dressy outfits for dinner. Back at home, I wear them in the garden/doing yard, hiking, and know these will be my go too's this fall alongside my Lems Chelsea Boots.

I'm a pretty active person in the outdoor industry. Never had any back or tendon injuries thankfully. I got these on a Thursday and wore them all day Friday in the office, Saturday morning I had very intense lower back pain. It was so bad I ended up going to a physical therapist the next week and being pulled from work hikes/site visits due to concerns about my ability to carry my own pack. After the physical therapy for 1 week, I started wearing them for 1 hour at a time and increasing 1 hour per day. I can now wear them for 5-6 hours and plan on continuing. All's to say, DO NOT wear them all the time right away. If you're not used to 0 Drop, it stretches out the tendons connected to your hamstring/lower back/back of your neck. It's all connected. Go slowly and over time the body will stretch at its own pace. I know these were designed for wear outdoors but I feel like there could be more cushioning for people that want an attractive boot for indoor wear. Also, definitely go half a size up. I did and they're just right.
