Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

So pretty, but it’s no Primal 2
I love the style of this shoe and was thrilled to get it. Unfortunately for me, sizing was not the same as my Primal & Primal 2s. Toe box width is great, but sizing seems to run just a tad smaller. Definitely have that “fit like a glove” feel in the description. I’m undecided on whether that’s comfortable or not. I’ve had these a couple months and I’m still choosing my worn-out Primal 2s most mornings. Wish y'all made those in more colors!

Good balance at last. 😀
I love them. What is wonderful is the way the bottom of the shoes grabs the ground and makes me feel well balanced. The only thing that I did not like is that I wear wonderful socks from bombas and when I go to put on the shoes, it is very difficult to get the left shoe on. In order to get it on I need to undo the shoelace all the way down and then I use a shoehorn. After I do all that and tie the shoelaces and stand up, they are great and I enjoy them all day long!!!! Thank you.

Comfy, toes approved
Love the wide toe box. I was rolling my foot & my ankle was hurting wearing my name brand cushy athletic shoes. With Lems & wide toe box, feet & toes are happy. I am on my feet (concrete floors) a pair of alpaca socks add a little more cushion. I’ve had for almost a month. However my seams are pulling loose on my toe seam. Still love them.
