Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

WIDE TOE BOX

Built on our Wide Natural Shape Fit, this slip-on style allows your toes to splay naturally. The Malibu features increased volume in the vamp/toe box area compared to the Laguna.

ZERO-DROP

Places the forefoot and heel flat to the ground correcting posture, aligning your spine, and encouraging mid-foot strike.

CORK FOOTBED

By adding an ultra-thin 0.8mm cork top layer, your foot will be feeling the benefits of natural coolness and comfort, with or without socks.

Goal!
As with all the Lems I own, eight pairs and counting, it’s a problem I am seeking help, they have proven to be extremely comfortable, with great fit. They also work really well on the bike, platform pedals. Ever since you came out with the Laguna I have been hoping for a men’s version to the point I was going to order a pair of lagunas. The moc toe men’s shoes remind me to much of preppy boat shoes, so thank you for that. It almost makes up for discontinuing the suede chukkas which I love, almost.

Comfy option for zero drop, wide toe box slip ons
This is my second pair of Lems (1st was a pair of Boulder Boots, also great.) After decades of wearing shoes with a big drop from heel to toe, I’ve been adjusting to the zero drop world, and my lower back and feet are feeling great. The Malibus are very light and breathable, and the cork soles are very comfortable without socks. I almost forget I’m wearing them!

Great!
Men's Malibu shoes fit fine now. I had gone through several pairs in my size in women's shoes before an agent suggested this shoe and it fits just fine. I also have another pair of Lems tie-on shoes for years and Lems shoes make one feel they're walking in bare feet as they did as a child facilitating spread toes that alleviate pain due to hammer toes or bunions.
