Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Size up!
Overall think they are good shoes but do have a size issue. Some brands I wear a women’s 10.5 and some I wear an 11. Thought I’d be safe with getting an 11 and when I initially tried them on the fit felt fine. After the first day of wear tho it became apparent that my second toe which is slightly longer than my big toe is getting crunched! Really bummed because these were expensive (for me) and they are now causing just a different kind of foot pain than the one I was attempting to solve by getting these shoes in the first place! Keep that in mind if you have that longer second toe!

Way better than I expected!
I was very skeptical, but when my PT, who I highly value, said I needed these shoes, and let me test drive hers, I went ahead and ordered. I can feel how they allow me to have better posture, and my foot strength has definitely improved. I was a 100% Hoka girl, but I get how these barefoot shoes are the way to go for better foot strength and control.

Wish I would have bought these sooner!
I love my Primal Zen shoes! I've had bad feet all my life and have tried lots and lots of things. These are the first shoes that my feet are happy in. They provide ample room for my toes and are super light. I believe these shoes, along with daily feet exercises are helping my ankle become stronger after an incident 30 years ago. I live in Wisconsin, and the staff have been extremely helpful in answering all my questions before I made a purchase. Definitely recommend Less shoes!
