Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

FULL RUBBER OUTSOLE WITH ZIG-ZAG SIPING

Excellent except for narrow ankles
I’ve been searching for the perfect barefoot Chelsea boot and I really thought these were it - so much room in the toe box! It wasn’t until I’d worn them a bit more that I realized how uncomfortably narrow the ankle is, which makes it hard for me to take them on and off, and my feet struggle to breathe a bit when wearing them. I’ve always had thicker ankles but I didn’t think they were THIS bad, and I hoped a barefoot style might have enough room for them. The search continues…

Great boots
I love Lems! These are my second boots and I already forgot that they start out really tight then loosen up significantly after a week or so of wearing them. The inserts really help you manage the sizing- making them tighter or looser.

The best combo but could be wider
This boot is my favorite of the lems- the more serious sole on a chelsea = win. As some of the other reviewers have mentioned it DOES feel narrower in the toe compared to their other widest fit styles, even after break in. Not so narrow that I can’t wear it, but does cause some bunion pain after wearing all day, so I don’t wear it as much as I would otherwise.
