PRIMAL 2 VS. PRIMAL 3 OVERVIEW

Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Good shoe, but small in comparison to boulder boot
I have many pairs of Lems shoes, with my most frequent being the waterproof boulder boot in a 12.5. I've worn it for everything, including work in Oregon and northern Minnesota, so they are very broken in. I ordered the 12.5 in the waterproof chelsea tuff, however I've exchanged for the 13 (yet to receive it, but will be considering the 13.5). The 12.5 was narrow in the toe box and short compared to the waterproof boulder boot, and I had very thin socks on. I like the tread on the boot, and the overall look and feel of it. The fur is a little silly, as I don't see it providing any real insulation, which is why I'm ordering up so that I can wear much thicker sicks here in Minnesota. I suggest at least a half size up compared to the boulder boot size. I hope the leather breaks in a bit, as I'm sure it will. I like that they gave an additional thinner pad to customize the vertical space in the boot, as this is important with a slip on and no laces. Also allows you to order that bigger size and add the provided second insole, so you get the length/width but the height is snug. Overall, seems like a good quality boot.

Boots
Lems boots have got to be the best pair of boots I have ever worn, they fit perfect and feel like they are already broken in right out of the box, Excellent product. Also, Lems shipping is awesome, very very quick.

So comfortable and easy
These are my first pair of Chelsea boots, I was looking for something with a durable outsole and a wide toe box. I’ve only had these for a few weeks but they are so comfortable and easy to slip on of course. I have the brown waterproof finish and they look nice, a little darker in person.
I ordered these 1/2 size up and they feel great. I think you’d be fine ordering your normal size, but I wear thicker socks in the winter so I wanted the extra wiggle room. I also have the Boulder Summits which are nice but the vertical toe space is a little less on those and I had to remove the insole to have them feel best. No complaints with the fit on these boots.
