    used and abused.

So these were my first barefoot shoes ever. I got them from a local store not really thinking about it too much I just knew they were comfortable and they fit well because I've got big wide feet.

I went through STAGES with these boots. I wore em non stop for a few weeks at my driving job. Killed my feet. Threw in a new insole from northsole because I did some research on em. Gave em up for a bit and wore em here and there as they hurt still.

Now though they're kind of just my go to. Everything else is weirdly uncomfortable. These guys got my feet up to snuff. I still think theyre really comfortable. I gave them a leather treatment once. Had em a few years now. Theyve gotten fully soaked which I dont live but hey they dont say theyre water proof so that's on me.

I'll still say the original sole is a bit thin for a big dude(6'3" and 300lbs) walking on concrete though.

    Durable barefoot boot

Appears very durable, more robust than most barefoot shoes. Ideal for a boot.

    Loose Stitching and Heel Chafing

I want to love these boots. Color is great, toe space is great, traction is great. But on the second day, some of the stitching game loose. I used a lighter to melt the strand and kept it from unraveling further. I guess not the biggest deal breaker. What's worse is the heel and ankle comfort. The back fabric part of the boot? That isn't stretchy and/or soft at all like I initially thought when looking at the pictures. Its actually very stiff and rigid, and it digs into the back of my Achilles tendon as I walk. I tried to compensate with some stick on suede leather cushion pads by Pedago, but it doesn't stick very well to the fabric lining. Sigh. So all in all, they're ok. It depends on your foot structure I suppose.
