Comfy shoes
I have 2 pairs of Lems and love them both. They are the same shape as my feet, so they are very comfortable. Every day!

Almost Perfect - Replaced Sole to Eliminate Noise!
The new Chukka Grips make some improvements on the originals: They now include padding around the ankle so they don’t rub against/irritate skin, and the extra grip on sole is nice for all kinds of weather. They still feel completely natural when walking, don’t interrupt/alter the natural “roll” of your foot.
They are SLIGHTLY heavier than the original suedes. And now that they’re made of canvas or waterproof leather, the upper is stiffer. This is obviously good for durability in all weather but I do also love how the suede Chukkas hug your foot softly and ultimately act like a sock that you barely feel.
I also miss the beautiful brown colors that the suedes were available in. Black and dark brown are fine, they go with everything. But the warm reddish brown and tan colors the suede was sold in were so beautiful and really cute with outfits!
Ultimately I think Lems should expand their Chukka line: Bring back the suede options, and also offer the new Chukka Grip solid leather in lighter brown varieties. I wanted to get the solid leather but ultimately went with black canvas because the dark brown leather was somehow just too serious for me (not that black is much different).
Finally, these shoes come with a cork sole. And as other reviewers have said, they are NOISY!! Very squeaky. I ordered the polyester soles and switched them out; problem solved, now they are silent! I think Lems should give buyers the option to choose which sole they want when purchasing, or just…
