Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

The boots I was missing!!
These were just what I needed! They slide on and off easily and are substantial enough to step on a shovel when I’m working in the yard. But they are also cute and chunky looking with a floral dress. Like other Lem’s they are magically light weight for how substantial they are. You wouldn’t wear them with a suit or an elevated look but for midwestern fall, winter and spring they will keep you dry and warm, and even a little bit fashionable.

They are so cute and comfortable. I sized up half a size and they fit perfect! I haven't worn them a whole bunch because I live in Arizona and it's summer atm but they will be perfect for the fall and winter here!!

Pleasantly surprised - my first pair of anatomical shoes
These are attractive, super lightweight (especially compared to “that other brand”), and my toes are free to spread, which is such a strange and amazing feeling inside a boot. I was worried that the wider toe box would look a bit goofy, but you honestly can’t even tell.
I also wondered if these boots would feel too wide overall. Fortunately, they feel secure around the midfoot and heel, which is another nice surprise vs. similar brands of chunky chelsea boots.
***Definitely*** size up that half size, at a minimum. I typically wear a size 9, so I ordered the 9.5 after reading a ton of reviews. My big toe does touch the end of the boot wearing Nike sport socks, so thicker socks are sadly out of the question. I would return them for a size 10 if making returns was more affordable.
