Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Love this boot
Been wearing this boot for years and finally got a few more pairs to wear for my winter walking. Not for rainy days, mind you, but for the chilly ones. Fantastic footbed is just what I need and want for long pavement walking. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Comfy, roomy
Love these! They're great for my slightly wide but short (in length) feet. They're roomy and comfortable. They fit me so perfectly (and my duck-shaped feet are very hard to shop for lol). My brother has similar feet and he's now a Lems shopper, too.
My only complaint is they are a bit hard to get on/off. I bought these before a trip to Japan, hoping to wear them there but ended up not bringing them because I felt it would be too hard to take them on and off in a "shoes off inside" culture.
I wish Lems would offer all their shoes in size 5 and 5.5! The options for people with short but wide feet are incredibly limited--if Lems offered all their women's shoes in smaller sizes, I'd probably purchase them all. Most brands do not offer size 5/5.5 in wide, so a brand like Lems is one of my only hopes for finding comfortable shoes that actually fit!
Thank you, Lems for making shoes like these! Please offer all women's shoes in size 5 and 5.5 so I can buy them all :)
