Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Great zero drop shoes for my wide feet
It's a huge challenge to find zero drop shoes with a ~1cm of padding for my ~4.2 inch wide feet, and these do great. I use them primarily running on roads/sidewalks. My one gripe is that they're a bit low volume in the toe (for my very high volume feet). I had to take out the insole to be able to use them comfortably. I've run in them for ~2 months now and they seem to be holding up well. I intend to buy another pair when they're done.

Great fit!
These were comfortable right out of the box. Very lightweight, I can barely tell I’m wearing shoes at all. I have wide flat feet and they’re a great fit.
The only thing I’m not crazy about is the soles are fairly slippery. I’ve only had them a couple weeks so hopefully they’ll break in a bit.

Comfy and foot-freeing!
I'm only 3 weeks in, but I've really enjoyed these shoes. My feet can be responsive to the ground underneath them and my toes can spread out, but they still have enough cushion and sole support to make me much braver than when I'm barefoot.
