Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Best Hiking Boots for Rough Trails
These boots are just what I was looking for. A barefoot sole that offers some protection from the roots and rocks, nice wide toe box, soft leather that allows some movement at the ankles but is still supportive, and they are nice looking. I wore them out for their first hike the other day and my feet were warm and comfortable throughout the journey, no breaking in required. I have tried several barefoot hiking boots this year and these are by far the best I have found for hikes that require some protection from a rough surface. If I am hiking a soft, smooth trail, I prefer grounding moccasins with just a leather sole. Thank you for making this great hiking boot. I ordered a size 10.5 and that is about a half to a full size larger than usual. If you want to wear thick socks and still have room, I suggest ordering one size up.

Wonderful boots
I just ordered an extra pair, and one for a friend, because these are so comfortable. I love the room for my feet and the zero drop. Very attractive and warm enough with winter socks for going out and around town. I bought the extra pair just in case the design gets changed. I want them to last after my current pair.
