Pánské boty Chelsea Boot Waterproof

I LOVE that these are narrower than the original Chelsea, five stars to Lems for having both width options. I previously tried the OG waterproof Chelsea also in black and they were too wide for me, in combination with the high volume they were a poor fit on me and I resold them - which was sad because I loved them for yard work, camping, mud stomping type function.

These Tuff Chelseas feel equally as high volume but in combination with being more narrow, they fit me much better. Lems also included an extra thin, flat insole as an option to help fill the volume which I think is a very generous accommodation. I also replaced their molded insole with a flat socks insole as their insole was too squishy for me.

I’m normally size 9 in shoes/sneakers and size 10 in boots and I got these in a 10.5 (the same size that I had the previous OG waterproof Chelseas in too). Other Lems shoes I’ve always sized up to 9.5 for reference, so this tracks with that 1/2 size up from my normal boots size.

I love the bulkier look of these and while they are stiffer than most barefoot oriented shoes, I appreciate the compromise of a thin/flexible sole in Leui of a functionally rugged boot. I know the black ones are not spec’d as waterproof, but they seemed pretty waterproof. Short of walking through a stream, my feet stayed dry. I eventually also waterproofed them with a leather wax, too, which felt pointless but is something to be done anyway as regular leather boot maintenance even if they come as…

this boot is really versatile. it fits in at the office plus it can handle marching thru rain and snow to get to the office. i love it.

the toe box could be wider imo - my toes do feel a bit constricted - (and i was disappointed because i bought them because they purported to be good for wide feet) but otherwise they've been great
