So these are the best shoes I’ve ever worn
I’ve always been a boot wearer, especially of ankle boots. I was a die-hard Doc Marten person forever, tried Blundstones, Sorel, Xero, Groundies, etc etc. ALL GOOD BOOTS! Started having some weird ankle pain that wouldn’t resolve and struggled on a short backpacking trip, so I bought these to try them out. O M G. The most immediately comfortable shoes I’ve ever slipped on my feet. They look pretty cute for minimalist boots and feel just like slippers. Have never had wet feet all winter walking the city in these and my ankle pain is totally gone. I don’t drive at all so I tend to walk a lot, and my shoes are important. I’ve applied some oily leather treatment since buying them and it made them look and feel even better. 10000000% will buy these again if they ever wear out!

A comfortable shoe
For me a comfortable, well-made shoe works from the first time I put it on. No breaking in needed. The Chelsea boot fits that description. I put it on and walked over a mile the day after it arrived.
I also want to mention the outstanding service I received from Lems. I had to ho up a size and they were most helpful.

Form, Fit, & Function - These check every box!
The Chelsea Barefoot Boot Waterproof is my first pair of Lems and my first pair of barefoot shoes. They will not be my last of either! The first day I wore these out of the house, I wore them for 8 hours and even forgot to take them off when I got home. The Chelsea boots are like wearing a cloud! Everyone at my physical therapist's office wants a pair! These are my new go-to shoes. I received these at the beginning of January, and have worn them almost every day since! I have not worn them on a rainy day, so I cannot attest to their waterproof capabilities.
The sizing suggestions helped me secure the perfect fit. So be sure to measure carefully. I measured my foot as instructed (24.8 cm), added 1.5 cm to ensure proper insole length (26.3 cm), and I added another 0.5 cm to equal a 1/2 size up (26.8 cm). So I went with the 10.5. They initially felt slightly big, but once I walked around my house, my feet rejoiced in the roomy toe box. I wear my Chelsea boots with Smartwool's Hike (light cushion) socks.
My pair came with the "Minimal Cork Insole - 4.5 mm," not the "Adventure Poly Insole - 5.5 mm" as stated in the description, but they still feel great. There is plenty of volume to add a thicker insole if you desire, so I may order the "Adventure Poly Insole" in the future. My feet are a plateau shape. First three toes are the same length, then the fourth and fifth toes are stair-stepped, so the "Widest Natural Shape" foot bed was perfect for me. If you are…
