Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

My favorite everything shoe. I work in a hospital where I’m pretty much walking 6 out of 12 hours during my shifts. And these shoes have proved to be so good, I just bought a second pair (first pair are in still in great condition) just in case Lems decides to discontinue the line. Comfortable, durable, attractive, and unique. I am the only one within my immediate world, work and personal, who wears these. Couldn’t recommend them more.

Pair number seven
I’ve been buying these for the last 4 or 5 years about every six months. I used to have trouble with Achilles tendon, but once I got a zero drop Lems shoe that all went away. I love these shoes.

Great shoes!
I have been wearing Lems trailhead for several years-- it so hard to find barefoot/minimalist shoes for those of us with narrow feet(we need barefoot shoes too!), these fit well with room for my toes and no heel lift, but still snug enough for hiking/walking. However Iwas very disappointed that Mercury sunset color was discontinued in the women's. I don't know why I never thought about getting a men's before, I decided to give it a try and they do fit just the same as the womens(have to adjust the sizing down). Unfortunately they are out of that color, so decided on these as they are more neutral than the only womens left. I do wish Lems would make more shoes besides hiking shoes for those of us with narrow feet--please?!
