Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Excellent hiking boot
I bought these primarily for hiking in Michigan, which could be wet, dry, icy, or snowy. I took them out through the mud & wet rocks and they were amazing. I’m not always graceful on my feet and the traction helped me navigate slopes & steps. The ankle is also stiff enough to be supportive but not so stiff that it’s inflexible. I look forward to seeing how they fair in ice and snow. I’m an 8, purchased an 8. There is enough room for thick socks of I need them.

Grip, fit, and hip
Feel like I can walk on walls with that grip! The fit is better for me than the waterproof/boulder. Over in the Midwest these boots stand OUT!
I have two pairs now, needed one for my standing job and I’m never as comfortable as I am in my boots
The issue I have is actually Lem’s laces - so slippery! I order others and it’s fine.

Perfect for long days on your feet
I wore these to Disneyland yesterday. I go a lot and this is the first time my feet weren't killing me after several hours and I wasn't exhausted when I got home. If you're going to be doing a lot of walking this is a great boot to wear! They are very warm though so just keep that in mind when you buy them. The toe box is also wide and fantastic for protecting your toes. Sizing info in the comments were spot on!
