Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Primal 2
This is my 3rd pair of Primal 2s and they are a great minimalist, natural foot shaped shoe for everyday use. I bought this pair because they are being replaced by the Primal 3. While the newest model (Primal 3) is sticking with a natural foot shape, the soles are thicker and more structured. I now prefer shoes with a better ground feel and it seems like all the newer models are moving towards more cushioning and stability which is probably great for people first moving to minimalist shoes, but I have gravitated towards a more barefoot feeling shoe. Anyone looking for a comfortable everyday shoe which will accommodate most wide feet, I would highly recommend these shoes. Glad I was able to get these before they sold out. Recommend moving a 1/2 size up from regular shoe size. I wear an 8.5 in this model and am normally an 8.

I'm feeling more sure-footed
I bought my first pair of Lems a couple of months ago but didn't submit a review right off the bat, because I do a lot of walking and wanted to see how well they'd perform over a period of weeks.
For me, the greatest benefit is that I feel more sure-footed when I'm walking. Over the past two years I've had a couple of very bad falls on uneven sidewalks while out for my daily walk, resulting in stitches, serious facial abrasions, and a lot of embarrassment. My sister asked me what kind of sneakers I wore, suggesting that the heavy, clunky soles might make it harder for me to feel the ground under my feet and respond to variations in the pavement. I looked around for a solution and discovered Lems. I haven't stumbled once since I've been wearing them.
Now, after many daily walks of between 2-3 miles, a trek to South Africa, and a lot of errand-running in between, I'm happy to say that these are the best shoes/sneakers I've purchased in a very long time. Over the years I bought extra-wide shoes to accommodate the bunion on my left foot, but that meant my right shoe was always too loose, and often the left shoe still wasn't wide enough to relieve the pain. The natural shape of the Lems toe box is so comfortable that I can finally forget about my feet when I'm out and about.
I just ordered another pair and hope to get a pair of the Boulder boots if my size is ever back in stock.

The best sneaker around
I hope they bring this model back because they are absolutely the best. Nice and wide and super light. These shoes are great for running and for everything else too.
